You might have recognized the secretary Nancy from the Fox/Netflix show Lucifer. She played the coroner Ella who was also a religious character, but Ella was more confident and chatty. Also she was in Dexter, which I never watched. That's my best guess on how you recognized her. The plot of the episode was basically taken from the movie "Assault on Precinct 13" from 1976 or the remake from 2005 with Laurence Fishburne and Ethan Hawke. In that movie a small police station is attacked and the cops and criminals in lockup have to work together to survive. The reason I like season 4 is because it introduces a bit of hope, season 2 and 3 are pretty dark as you've mentioned. Just hold on to season 4 Imon.
