I liked at the start when you said that the first two episodes of this season have the word fire in the title, you said "Then there's that thing about lighting the fire, lighting the beacon. In this time of trouble when I light the beacon stand by my side." You then said it had you thinking about that news article about Jamie and Claire dying in a house fire. I always love how you make these connections. That scene when Jamie was talking to that guy about Murtagh you asked "Is there a bromance blooming?" Then he talks about hanging Murtagh, you said "Mmmm maybe no bromance." That made me laugh. Then later when Claire thanks Roger for helping her hide that body, you said "That's a good guy right there. He helps you hide the body." The way you laughed. You're so cute. When Claire was talking to those women they said "Bad things come in three's." My mom and dad would say that all the time, they still do. Sometimes things would happen and I would always wait for that last thing. It used to mess with my head a little growing up. I like at the end when you were talking about Jamie and Murtagh you said that Murtagh said it best. He doesn't control his godson, and his godson doesn't control him, that they're both doing what they have to do. You said "I see two things, violence begets violence, and I believe that one hundred percent." You said if you punch someone they're gonna punch you back, that it's very rare that someone is going to turn the other cheek. I love when you said "You're turning your cheek. Not fighting back. Holding your tongue. It saves so many people." You then talked about the scene in Vinland Saga, the part about Olmar being laughed at, about how the strongest man is able to be laughed at, about the strength it takes to withstand that so you don't start fighting. You said "It's like a flame, we don't know how far the fire is gonna go, so when you're able to hold your tongue you might actually save millions of lives. You might save a hundred lives. You might save one life which is your own life." You said it's interesting but so hard because we're not really taught that, we're just taught to defend ourselves, that it's natural, that we just need that balance. You then talked about Claire, that you hope she can find a way to create penicillin but with the superstitions of people will they even listen to her and at that time men were considered to be the ones to have all the answers, that they were the ones in positions of power, they're the doctors, the pastors, the priests. You talked about men and women, that we're all equal, but we do have different roles. I love when you said "Jamie has a role he plays. Claire has a role she plays. Jamie could never do, well he could if he studied and practiced and there was years and years but he could never do what Claire does, and Claire can't do what Jamie does. She can't go into battle and fight, they're both really good at what they do so it doesn't mean that one is better than the other. They just know what role to play and when it comes together they love and they're equal to one another." I always love these talks you have, I could listen to you talk for hours.
