Outlander 4x12 Full REACTION

I always get upset with the priest because I think he's being so selfish. He sinned, so it created a child. But when that happens, you don't abandon the woman and child! You live with your actions and take care of them! Who cares about your soul, you have a family to raise now, right??!

I loved your little talk at the start about Roger, you said "Well I hate Roger. No wait I like Roger. Roger's horrible. Wait a minute, no he's not that bad. Wait Roger is just immature. That's it, he's immature and that's okay, it doesn't mean he's a bad person. Oh my God! Jamie's killing Roger. No don't do that. Roger! No he's with the Mohawk we've got to figure it out." I like when you were talking about how quickly this series is going by and that you didn't want to rush through it because you enjoy it, you said it happens all the time with series you love. I know what you mean, as much as you want to know how it all ends you just don't want it to. I love when you said "I don't like to take my time with the things that I like. I like to just enjoy it all." You said in some ways it's fun like that but then in other ways it's not so fun because your done and you're like, now what? You said that's going to be the feeling when Outlander is done and that you will never have a feeling like that again unless you read the books. It's great how a series can have that effect, it's like you said once, "This is why cinema and the arts/music are so important to all of us." When it's all over and you have that feeling of loss, on the days when you feel like you miss Jamie and Claire and you just want to be with them, I hope you can find some comfort in the books. Maybe one night you will be sitting by the fire and you will read something really beautiful that Jamie said to Claire, something that makes you smile and reminds you just how much he really loves her. I like the scene when Roger is talking to Father Alexandre about love, he says "I fell in love with a girl. Beautiful girl. I asked her to marry me, and she said no. So what did I do? Instead of walking away, I actually followed her across an ocean. Like an idiot, I pursued her through time and space, determined to prove to myself and the universe that I did love this woman, just like all those great love stories written by all those great idiots." He then tells Father Alexandre about the fight he had with Bree on the night they were wed, that he left her, that he could have gone back but instead he decided to stay, because he loves her. He said he's learnt something from his pain, that he's changed, he said "There's a saying where I come from. Look out for number one. From now on, that's me." I love that he went back for Father Alexandre, he couldn't save him, but he ended his suffering at least. Just one episode left now of season four, I can't wait to see how this season ends. It's been a pleasure Imon. You're beautiful, always. <3

I truly love Roger so much

Oh, I meant to mention that Mohawk who was so upset at the end. I don’t think it has anything to do with realizing what they were doing was wrong, I believe he had feelings for the woman who decided to join the man she loved and killed herself. Yes, you are right, it’s hard to understand the beliefs of others, but we must also remember that this is the 1700’s

Hi Imon, before this episode, I never really paid attention to Rick Rankin’s (Roger) acting, but the scene in the hut with him talking about his love for Bree and being an idiot brought me to tears and the end when he goes back to put the Father out of his misery, but then the woman joined him on the pyre. The look on Roger’s face breaks my heart. I’ve seen this episode multiple times, but I just now thought of the scene back in S2 when Jamie was taking Claire back to the stones and told Claire he would’ve joined her at the stake if she’d been burned as a witch, but he wasn’t carrying their child. Ughh… I love that scene at the stones because it’s so beautifully done, but I also despise it because they were apart for 20 years 😭 I knew you would come to love Marsali. With a couple other reactors, they hated her when we first meet her, but I laugh to myself because they all come to love her regardless of how horrible her mother is. And what’s wrong with this episode? We only get a few seconds of Jamie as he’s reading the letter he wrote.

Tara

I've seen this episode many times and that ending always shreds my heart. So horrific and sad.

Lord John was the Governor of Jamaica, but he's not the Governor of North Carolina. He is a Lord, though, and that does carry some weight.
