Hi Imon, the Murtagh reveal was especially surprising because in the books, he died at Culloden. The show runners love the actor who plays him, Duncan Lacroix, so they brought him back and thought it would be a great storyline if he and Jamie found themselves on opposite sides. When Jamie first sees Murtagh, you hear him say “Ghoistidh” (ghost-gee) that means godfather. You will hear Jamie call him that over the seasons. I love all the names Jamie has for people he loves. Of course there is Sassanach, but in this episode he ran to Claire and called her Mo Nighean Donn which is My brown haired lass. Sometimes he will call people “Mo chridhe” (Mo-creed) which means My heart. He calls Fergus “Mon Fils” (Mon-fees) which is French for My son. I haven’t heard a name for Ian yet 🤔 I love that you mentioned the relationship between Murtagh and Jamie as well as well with Claire. Again, in the books, they aren’t as close, so the TV show really built those relationships. But I still miss Jamie’s kilt from the first season 🤷🏻♀️
