I enjoyed your talk about prisons. You mentioned that people think that if you're in prison then you deserve it. That makes sense and it's something everyone is taught from an early age, bad people go to jail for doing bad things. I think prison should only be for people who commit violent crimes. Non-violent criminals should get community service, but like a lot of it. Private prisons should not exist because people actually profit when more people go to prison. And they should not be working because that's basically slavery. There can be a volunteer program but it HAS to be voluntary, and they can put that on their resume. I remember reading that some exconvict couldn't get a firefighting job even though he fought wildfires while in prison.
