2023-03-31 21:05:45 +0000 UTCThis is basically Kurosawa's "Seven Samarai" (1954). That's the only Kurosawa film I've seen so I'd recommend that one Imon. America liked it so much they copied it and made the same movie but as a Western with cowboys, "the Magnificent Seven" (1960). Which is also good despite being an almost identical copy. There's also a 2016 Magnificent Seven with Denzel, which is not bad, though not great either. And based on your description of Vinland Saga it does sound like they took some inspiration from Akira Kurosawa. I love when Hondo shouts, "This effort is no longer.... profitable!" Then he just runs away. Also I'm pretty sure this is the same jungle planet that the Ahsoka, Anakin, and Obi-Wan evacuated at the start of the last arc. Ahsoka disobeyed orders and then got put on library duty. Felucia I think it's called. It was also in the movie Revenge of the Sith for a few seconds during the order 66 montage.
