Whats Your Favorite Song in the Last 5 years?
Added 2023-03-19 23:26:38 +0000 UTCHello everyone! Hope all of you are well.
I have been thinking lately about how I haven't really listened to any newer artists or songs in the last several years.
I like what I like and sort of stick to that and if I do find new music its usually songs that have come out 10+ years ago.
What am I missing? I would love to listen to anything you recommend and maybe even make a video out of it.
I will say I am not into the newer music and I purposely stay away from it, but I am sure I have missed some real bangers because of that lol.
What are some songs/albums I should look into?

I like the one video called LIFA - Krigsgaldur. Their music is hauntingly beautiful

2023-03-31 04:04:04 +0000 UTCI’m not sure that what I have to suggest will be your cup of tea but I’m going to put it out here anyway. Some of my favourite songs from last couple of years include Angst by Rammstein, Zeit again by Rammstein, Adieu and Dicke Titten once again by Rammstein. Also some Till Lindemann songs like Ich Hasse Kinder, Asch So Gern and Alle Tage Ist Kein Sontag. I’m sorry I do realise that lately I’ve been stuck in a one track mind brain rot.

2023-03-21 22:53:48 +0000 UTCSome of my favourite albums of the last years include Carly Rae Jepsen's The Loneliest Time (if you want to sample a single song, try Joshua Tree), CHVRCHES' Screen Violence (Violent Delights), Halsey's If I Can't Have Love I Want Power (I am not a woman, I'm a god), Dua Lipa's Future Nostalgia (Physical) and Shawn James' The Dark & The Light (There It Is). All albums I'll happily listen to front to back.

2023-03-21 08:26:38 +0000 UTCMost of my music in recent years are videogame background music. Without text it is easier for me to relax. Number 1 in that case would be "Let's Dance Boys!" from the game Bayonetta If you want something new, and with lyrics The Band "Heilung", german for Healing Heilung is an experimental folk music band made up of members from Denmark, Norway, and Germany. Their music is based on texts and runic inscriptions from Germanic peoples of the Iron Age, and Viking Age. They have alot of their music on ther Youtube Channel. Try "Norupo"

2023-03-20 06:10:10 +0000 UTCI listen to just about every genre of music, but most of it is older. There are some great newer stuff though...Devils Price · by Poor Man's Poison is bloody fantastic. So is anything from "The Dead South". Wardruna is a great group, check out "Wardruna and Aurora - Helvegen" or "Voluspa". Aurora herself is a really interesting artist you might want to check out her song "Running with the wolves" or "Runaway".

2023-03-20 06:09:35 +0000 UTCI've been addicted to Jungle for a while. A couple of my favorites right now are Cherry and Romeo (ft. Bas). You can go down a rabbit hole on their Youtube (jungle4eva) watching all their music videos that they make with a troupe of professional dancers.

2023-03-20 02:39:44 +0000 UTCI would say So Long Dixie by Home Free. If you have not listened to Home Free you are in for a great surprise. Home Free is one of the Best acapella groups around. They lean country but can do any genre. They also do a fantastic version of Boyz II Men’s End of the Road, Percy Sledge’s When A Man Loves a Woman, and Doobie Brothers Listen to the Music. Also, looking for an older artist to listen to as well, I highly recommend Bryan White. He was pretty big in the mid to late 90s in country, but he had his own unique style. He kind of combined R&B and country together. Highly recommend Love is the Right Place, Someone Else’s Star, Rebecca Lynn, I’m Not Supposed to Love You Anymore, So much for Pretending, and You’re Still Beautiful to Me. Just to name a few. Also, he was so big in the mid-90s he was cast as a singing voice in the animated film Quest for Camelot. Highly recommend that animated film. His singing is absolutely amazing in that as the singing voice of the lead male character in the film.
