When we see Canute and Gunnar they are in Mercia it's been ravaged by war, Gunnar says it will take a long time to recover. I like what Canute said "Gunnar, don't talk as if it has nothing to do with you. We are the ones who destroyed it."
At the start of the episode you talked about the episode with Canute from season one. The scene with him and Bjorn where he says
"Something was lost in exchange for wisdom. A most important thing. That something... we will never attain as long as we live. We will never attain it. But, despite that, we are still asked to pursue it?

You said you saw parallels between Thors and Canute, that when Thors was fighting Bjorn he had to use physical force to stop him, while Canute used love to stop Bjorn from his madness. You said that is the path to a true master, you then said "There's a true warrior and a true master. A true master is someone who does stuff without a sword, without the threat of killing. It's all about that love, that unconditional love."
I love when Thorkell showed up, the way you laughed, you said "He's just so wild." You couldn't stop laughing, God you're beautiful. You said he should help Thorfinn and Einar cut down those trees, use all that anger and rage, they'd be done in a year. That's so true.
