This reminded me of that episode of mob psycho where mob hesitates to exorcise the spirits for the clients because he saw spirits and humans as the same. Like the actual panic attack he had because these spirits weren't harming anyone and yet they wanted them gone because they thought they were creepy. Also on a side note just remember the minority doesn't speak for the majority. There are many of us who enjoy the personal relations to the episode.
