while i partly agree it would also make syncing the timer super annoying. especially considering how netflix does their timer backwards showing the time remaining on the video instead of how far you are into the video. so unless your syncing from a non legitimate source you wouldnt be able to match up the time stamp as closely. Like with this method you hit play right when she says and then you have the videos side by side at the start so you can see which version is slightly ahead with the start picture in picture and can get it fairly close. frequent pausing could get you minutes out of sync

2022-10-12 16:49:56 +0000 UTCI don't know if it makes editing harder, but I think it's worth pausing the episode so you can express your thoughts without distraction instead of having to fit them in over dialogue.
