Honestly, I never feel cringe with this one, probably because it's parody so knowing it's not taking itself seriously negates the cringe-factor for me. Though that Annie bit, trying to be as cringe as possible and succeeding in spades, gets everyone lmao... But that being said, even in sarcasm I think it's a pretty good musical episode of TV. There are a couple really strong voices, and the story playing out in a virus-takes-over-the-world style is a pretty cool twist on the whole "how to we make the characters sing without breaking the rules of our world" formula. We even get a Childish Gambino pre-Childish Gambino track. ... and I think it was Jeff's lips. They were really pink and glossy, and it changed the whole complexion of his face... probably done to give the whole "GLEE" feeling.
