I'm so glad you liked this one. It's not perfect, but it has good stuff. I like that the show took on this topic. And I also really like that it let us see another side of Dean. That's important for me. That we get a chance to see behind that wall of his. We get bits of it here and there, but this episode showed us a lot. I think Dean does respect women. Even those he doesn't love. He just wants to keep it superficial because it's easier that way. And I'm sure they are aware it's to be a one night sort of thing, so he's not a user. It's fine if you don't watch the whole show. To each their own. Watch as long as you enjoy it. I would say to take any comments about what should have been casually. Try not to let people's comments about future seasons or episodes influence your perspective. Yes, Kripke only saw 5 seasons - for HIS involvement. He felt that was all he felt was needed to tell his story, but he never said the show was meant to end at 5 seasons. That's something that people have debated about in the fandom a lot. He supported the show continuing. He just was ready to move on and let someone else carry it forward. But he did still stay involved to some degree. I really appreciate your discussion at the end. I'm sorry you've had to deal with the nastiness. I wish it would end.
