I disagree with this being the black sheep of the fate series. I’d say that title belongs to Fate/Extra. Besides, the other Fate series aren’t kittens and rainbows either.

2022-04-23 20:05:20 +0000 UTCFate/Zero is kind of the black sheep of the Fate franchise in the sense that it's a very dark Greek tragedy that punches you in the gut with nihilism and leaves you feeling sick at end. The other stories in Fate are far more optimistic with beautiful messages and great life lessons like Babylonia here, Stay Night and its branching paths, the rest of Grand Order, Apocypha etc. Given what you talked about in the long intro I think you'll really enjoy Fate/stay night because its ultimately a story about finding yourself and a way of life that you'll be happy with while overcoming trauma and adversity. Either way I'm really glad you're back on Fate! Just as you said manga saved your life I can safely say that Fate saved mine back in highschool! Wishing the best for you and your current situation, I pray you'll come out on top!
