Watching this episode the 2nd time around was just as rough as the first. It's always the scene with ji-yeong and sae-byeok that gets me. Dying for a stranger just because they have something to live for and you don't. It's sad reality though. Also hardcore fuck sang-woo. I mean we all understand that it's a game where you should do what it takes to win but still. He did what it took to win but it doesn't make him any less of a shitty person because he couldn't accept defeat.

Some other comments made an interesting point and it makes me think back to a comment yall made a few videos ago about how we can dehumanize people we don't like to the point where we are the spectators waiting for them to be hurt or die... but its Still F*CK Sangwoo as a Staff, Record Label, and as a mfing crew over here

2022-01-10 14:58:12 +0000 UTCWhat hurts the most about Sangwoo is the duality of him trying to be a good person and trying to save himself. On the one hand, he's in the games mostly to make amends for his mom, he got Gi-Hun to keep moving in Game 1, he strategizes and works with the team, and even gave Ali money at the convenience store and for a ride home. On the other, he withholds some info in Game 2, lies about having a family, and takes advantage of Ali to save his own skin. I think he honestly did want to team with and make it to the end with Ali, saying initially that they'd be a great duo against other players. Despite his trick, you can see how shaken and remorseful Sangwoo is when he hears Ali calling his name and hesitates to leave. The worst part of it? When you think about it, Ali likely only made it back into the games BECAUSE of Sangwoo helping him out. Otherwise, he wouldn't have made it back to his home city of Ansan in time to re-enter the games. This show is great and the same goes for your reactions, looking forward to the next episodes.
