Britta represents white liberals who are so desperate to seem non prejudiced even when they find someone who is a minority and a jerk

Oh absolutely, season 1 is the by far the most reserved season as it's mostly spent developing characters, relationships and the settings. By Season 2 once we know them, all rules are off, and the crazy themes and in-jokes are nonstop by then. Season 1 does what a lot of good shows don't do which is start strong right off the bat, but it's still not nearly as strong as it is later imo.

Britta's pride is very important to her haha
And yeah if you think this show is 'crazy', S1 is just getting started. The character dynamics and development is always the main focus but it plays with some more unique concepts later down the line. Basically Dan Harmon wanted to make a sitcom that wouldn't scare off audiences too much so he started off with it being a bit more watered down, but as he gets more comfortable it gets wackier in future seasons while retaining the same charm.
