God, this episode totally broke my heart... And you girls guessed right about him being Mikey's brother, because I was totally clueless at first. When you re-watch, it's very clear how much Shinichiro looked like Mikey. Also, Mikey did mention that he had an older brother who died in the early episodes, when they went to visit Takemitchy at his school, and Takemitchy asked Mikey why he'd taken a liking to him, and Mikey admitted that he reminded him of his brother. This is a very meaningful moment in the story. I do feel bad for Kazutora, I know that most people just think he's "crazy" etc., but these kids were super young, and his way to cope with the trauma was just to project and deny, probably because he couldn't live with the guilt of what he'd done. Such a tragic story for these poor kids...

There is a clip with the birthday they see through the window with the family, Kazutora's face looked angered by it, this gives you some kind of hint of his home life. Which could lead to how his mindset is compared to others when faced with traumatic experience. Also Mikey's brother situation was mention back in episode 3 I believe to Takemichi on the bike ride. P.s. best boy is about to enter the situation. xx
