2021-10-26 08:51:08 +0000 UTCNah, Japan isn't like that, maybe on the surface to an on looker but even JoJo shows how anti gay Japanese culture is, as there was supposed to be a woman-woman love interest, but Araki was made to change it so one character was a man instead as they believed it would effect sales of the manga... maybe would or wouldn't but we'll never know now, though in the characters introduction they were drawn as female, and in all later chapters they were drawn male, no JoJo reason for the conversion, they were just changed without drawning attention to the change simply because they didn't want a gay relationship in JoJo.
