As much as I would love to see their reactions to Sunny it would take up a lot of real estate on their schedule. And seeing as how they don't react to a lot of shows, 150+ episodes is a lot of time to spend on one show.

Bejo, yeah Netflix cut small portions of themes out. I noticed when I was trying to sync up with the video clip they showed of Britta with her hand up in the air in the library. They cut that part on Netflix and a few more scenes at the beginning of the episode

They should still watch Season 4 tbh. It may be the worst season, but it still had it's moments, and alot of the jokes in S5 tie into the events of S4.

Does Netflix really have cut scenes? I thought the syncing issue was due to Hulu having a longer “intermission” between certain scenes than Netflix

Yeah it’s on Hulu. I was wondering why it was so out of sync on Netflix. I didn’t realize Netflix cut clips out. Now I’m looking forward to doing a rewatch with the unedited version on Hulu.

Hey just wanted to say don't listen to the people who tell you "don't watch x season", besides the fact that imo season 5 and 6 are amazing, you should judge for yourself whether they're good. Season 4 is definitely a step down but I don't think it's ever straight up BAD.

Im glad to part of this community and let me just say 6 Seasons and a Movie! I recommend watching the show with that mindset cause Season 4 does dip but when i watched it i honestly didn't notice except for some parts but then again that's just my take

Community definitely leans much more to comedy than Bojack, but it definitely has some brilliant writing, good dramatic/emotional moments, etc. I avoided it for so long cause I thought it looked like a typical sitcom and when i finally sat down, it was some of the funniest and most clever writing I saw.
If you're looking for another Bojack dramedy type show to scratch that specific itch, two I can recommend heavily are 'Barry' and 'Eastbound and Down', both HBO shows.

imo, don't skip season 4. it's the weakest season but still has plenty of funny stuff and without spoiling anything you'll miss out on some over-arcing story content

It's also worth noting that even though season 4 has a dip in quality and doesn't really "feel like Community", it's still funnier than 70% of comedy shows on TV.

Season 5 and 6 are really great tho!!
amoah.
2021-10-13 02:57:35 +0000 UTC
You can skip season 4, it won't affect your viewing experience as the events of season 4 are largely ignored or played off as a joke in season 5 & 6.

Also, whoever told you to only watch the first three seasons probably didn't explain it correctly. The showrunner (Dan Harmon) left the show after season 3, but then returned for season 5 onwards. Season 4 is the only season he didn't take a part in making and it's the only season where there is a considerable dip in quality, the rest of the show is incredible.
