I'm months late, so someone probably already mentioned it on YouTube, but if I recall correctly, Nana asked All Might and Gran Torino to not contact her son. So they wouldn't have talked to him or anything out of respect for her wishes.

2021-11-03 03:42:07 +0000 UTCI’m not sure if I’m misunderstanding this but I think the real tragedy is just his quirk manifesting the way it did bc even though his dad wasn’t great he was basically putting him on timeout outside for playing hero or talking about heroes he didn’t actually getting hit until he saw the picture in the office. After that happened he felt remorse and knew he was in the wrong. I don’t think the rest of the family was standing by as he beat his son. In this scenario I think that Shoto had it worse. The worst part about this was his quirk manifesting the way it did and him coming to the conclusion that he loves to destroy everything and everyone because of this event.

Nana left long before she died, being a hero she wrote the letter to prepare her son for the years of her absence as a hero and after being gone she was unfortunately killed by the one who'd eventually groom Shigaraki, its like poetry, Shigaraki's dad didnt want him to be a hero so he succeeded, sadly

Just like La Brava needed to find someone to love in order for her quirk to work and feel fulfilled, his quirk needs to destroy things or he itches. The itching stopped after he let it all out. Basically his quirk screwed him over.

And his dad's rule is no talking about heroes which Tenko really wants to be and that's what he wanted to be told instead of "don't cry." And his decay was basically censored with the grey crumbling so don't look too much into that. 10/10 reaction, great job
