Update on comic and a few other things

This might be a bit long so here's a quick summary first: The bad news is that the comic has been delayed, and Patreon is going to start charging sales tax on some pledges starting July. The good news is the comic will be slightly longer, I'm uploading the old rewards on Gumroad later this week, and improved versions of a couple of old rewards will be re-uploaded on Discord tomorrow for a limited time.

As mentioned on Discord, the comic I had planned for the May reward has been delayed to this month instead, so I paused the most recent billing to make up for the lack of any May reward. Part of the reason it's being delayed is because I'm extending it from 8 to 10 pages, since I noticed while working on it that the pacing seemed a bit rushed. I've had to rework the page layouts quite a lot, but I'm much more satisfied with how it's shaping up now. I was hoping to avoid having any delays this year, and I'm sorry that I've had to resort to doing it again.   

Another thing that slowed my progress is that I've been tidying up some of the older rewards that I was not quite satisfied with in preparation for uploading them on Gumroad. I've been meaning to put my older works on Gumroad for some time, and now that I'm done making improvements I'm ready to upload them later this week. The only reward I made massive improvements to is the one from last November, and I'm re-uploading it on Discord tomorrow for a limited time, along with the reward from this April, which I fixed up slightly as well.

I also wanted to tell everyone about the sales tax Patreon will be charging on some pledges starting on July 1st. How much you may be charged will depend on your location, so there's a chance that some patrons won't be charged anything. For more detailed information visit the link below, where you'll find some tables listing which countries will be taxed and by how much, and which states in the US will be affected(the US tax rate will range from 4% to 11%).

How much you may be charged will also depend on the type and number of benefits a creator offers. For instance, the benefit I offer is exclusive community access, which is exempt from tax in a majority of the US. Patreon should also be informing you of these changes, but I wanted to tell everyone about it personally. I'm sorry if this news has been worrying or off-putting, and with the new tax settings that are available to creators I'll do what I can on my end to reduce any taxes as much as possible.

Lastly, I want to say thank you for your support and patience. I'm not sure how soon this month the comic will be finished, but until it is I'll be uploading WIPs more frequently so that you have more to look forward to(though I'll save uploading finished pages until the whole comic is complete).
