2021-08-27 12:19:25 +0000 UTCI used to lead with self-deprecation all the time when I met someone. I figured I was just being affable and disarming. I was really just trying to lower the expectations of the people around me because I had low self-worth. A lot of that has been internalized since I was a kid but things are better now. Seeing people like you open up really does help me think about these things honestly.

2021-08-27 00:09:18 +0000 UTCI love this episode and I just a quick story I got involved in a hardcore church when I was 15 and it really messed me up I thought it could save me from being gay and for years I fought against myself and even now I still struggle with some of the teaching that were instilled in me and finally I’m getting through all of it and it’s a lot of work but I’m finally able to me myself without judging myself constantly and this show helped me a lot thank you guys so much for sharing your stories it helps a lot
