Jojos part 5 ep 13 REACTION

Jojos part 5 ep 13 REACTION

Man, loads of Giorno slander, so I'm gonna talk about why I like GIorno. One of the main influences of his character are the Greek/Roman statues, who often show very stoic facial expressions. However, Giorno is still 15 and ultimately a kid in over his head. While he displays a calm demeanor on the outside, his inner monologues often sound very emotional in contrast. The key to Giorno's character is that he constantly grows and shows resolve because of his dedication to his team and his ultimate goal. Throughout the show, he keeps learning more about what his very versatile ability is capable of during intense battles. It's only through these tough situations that he grows, and helps others grow as well. Like Jonathan, he has a sense of duty and justice, but he's also like DIO because his morals are a bit loose and isn't afraid to brutalize or manipulate his enemies.

That's why I like Part 4 so much. Josuke's stand is simple, his limits are clear cut, but the amount he can do with it is amazing. Meanwhile Giorno is a super whiz kid who knows anything as long as the plot allows it. He is never funny, never relatable, and never interesting. Part 5 is probably my second favorite part, but Giorno is my least favorite Jojo.

I love most of part 5, but this was where I definitely realized why everyone I know doesn't like Giorno. Beyond just being an off-the-rails Mary Sue, his ability is one of the least satisfying to watch in action because it's so vague in it's "gives life" power. We have no sense of the limitations of Gold Experience, if they say that it has the ability to create a creature with immunity to a deadly virus just because a brick was turned into a snake in the vicinity of said virus, and they also tell us that it can manufacture a cure instantly out of this creature's blood even though that's not how that works in medicine, then we just have to accept that his Stand can do that. He can turn a shoe into a fly and it acts as a tracking device for the person who wore the shoe for some reason. Like, what if the shoe was made months ago and has only been worn by the person for a few weeks? Would a creature made out of that shoe have the memories of a lifetime of being a shoe, and would it follow the person who wore it? Why? And why would the fly be omnipotent enough to track the person no matter what? When Giorno turned Koichi's suitcase into a frog, the frog didn't follow Koichi. It's just insanely inconsistent, and the living things made from it can basically just do whatever the plot needs them to do at any given moment. His power is basically just to do anything the script feels like adding. We'll never know if there's something he actually COULDN'T do in any situation because we have no concept of what's supposedly possible with it.

Sounds like the other comments did a shit job of explaining Giorno's stand. Basically, his stand has the ability to give life to any inanimate object.
