BoJack Horseman 6x5 FULL REACTION

BoJack Horseman 6x5 FULL REACTION

It's sadly a common misconception that weed isn't addictive. It might not be as addictive as alcohol or some other drugs, but if you have an addictive personality (as studies show about 10% of people do), it can be just as debilitating as anything else. This is something that the education system should teach, but the "war on drugs" has made it very hard, if not impossible, to include information like that in basic education. At least for now. I have hope that things will improve in the future.

"The galaxy in the bottle" is clearly a reference to the planetarium, the place where Sarah Lynn died. It's a symbol of Bojack's guilt over her death.

Rene Aavik

Yes, because it's so easy. Have you any fucking idea what the word "addiction" means?

For me the worse was her being able to recognize Bear furr by taste. But the fact that his look is based off a real pedo hollywood photographer really confirms it.

I always thought that the Stepfather thing was just a fan-theory, but the line in this episode solidifies that it was definitely the writers' intention.

As someone who regularly goes to A.A., I will say that using alcohol in moderation is easily the best solution for average people. For alcoholics, though, cold turkey is the only way to do it. I can't touch the stuff. But, not everyone is an alcoholic, so there is no shame in having fun with booze every now and then if you're not.

Sadly, he demolished the house in Harper's Landing.

i smoke a lot and it got a bit excessive in the first part of the pandemic when things were at its weirdest (plus i lived in a studio at the time so i literally was trapped in that one room for weeks at a time lol). my need for weed (lol) has def gotten better since the vaccine came out but i feel you bc i def thought "at least it's not alcohol where too much hurts my body" which was a slippery slope.

Alcohol, like everything else, should be done in moderation. I agree with you imon that you don't need to get wasted everytime you have drink. I have a friend now who whenever she drinks she gets blackout drink and I tell her it's not fine and she knows it's not fine and yet she still does it almost every single day. It's just one of those things that can ruin your life if you aren't careful so drink responsibly everyone!

I started drinking alcohol heavilly on the regular from around 14yo, and some of my life's biggest regrets have come from the times when I got absolutely wasted. My family's got a long sordid history of alcoholics, and never one to let down the family name I rose to the challenge and blacked out more times than i can count before my 18th. Managed to mostly stop drinking to excess around 19th by replacing it with weed, and even though I didn't make any bad memories in that time I still managed to get addicted all over again, this time to weed. That came with its own problems, where I'd choose to stay in and smoke rather than go out and make memories with people. Honestly can't decide which substance was worse for me, but thankfully I'm in a much healthier place with alcohol these days thanks to not dealing with living in the closet anymore. I still have to avoid weed like the plague though otherwise I lose weeks of my time to waking and baking every day. Substance abuse is just a way to manage pain, and think what's most important is just finding something that doesn't have you craving it when you should otherwise be enjoying your life. So Imon I'm really happy weed has had that healing effect on your life (and buy a dry herb vape if you can, will save you thousands in the long run as well as your lungs), but just always be mindful not to fall into the "weed is 100% safe" mindset that I did, as whilst it might not be physically addictive it can still be just as crippling from the psychological side of things. As always, love the Bojack reactions and can't wait for what's to come. All the love <3

Sometimes it feels like our bad habits are connected. I'm proud of Bojack for staying sober so long but those birds brought back his plotting, overthinking anxiety and caused him to halt in his progress. Diane is used to holding the world accountable for all the negativity it seemingly has but now writing about herself, she's the worst in who she is. I bet you both were fun to party with! Really great to hear you've managed to slow down your drinking to moderation. Alcoholism is in my family and for myself i struggle to find a middle ground between not drinking at all and over doing it. With this episode we can add another strange fact about Sarah Lynn's weird step father.
