There's definitely some implausibilities, like any company the size of E-Corp would have so many redundant backups you'd never actually be able to delete all their data, but all the techniques and tools they use on the show are legitimate.

2021-07-31 02:50:08 +0000 UTCThere have been actual hackers talking about the coding in Mr. Robot and the lines of code they're actually typing, and types of hacks they're doing are actually fairly accurate to real life, something that can actually be done. Of course certain liberties are always taken to make something more cinematic, but compared to almost every other movie or TV show that shows hacking, Mr. Robot is a lot more accurate than others.
