Where am I, and a cover sneakpeak!!
Added 2024-11-23 12:20:58 +0000 UTCHELLO!!!!!!! It's been longer than usual since I've posted, and I'm also not too active on social media at the moment either, so I feel gotta be transparent about that...
You probably already know I'm in school currently in a 3D graphics class, but recently I also landed an internship! That internship has taken a lot more time from me than I thought, since I'm getting a lot more responsibility than I anticipated.. which is good, I'm having a blast!!! I get to do so many cool things!!! Right now I'm juggling internship and schoolwork at the same time, which pretty much eats up all my time and energy, so my Icebell projects get put on hold :( It will probably continue like this until the end of this year. In january next year, the internship also becomes school, and I hopefully get a lot more time on my hand!!!!
I thought I could at least give you a sneakpeak of what I have been able to work on, that's where the video in this post comes in! I've done a cover of Perfume's Zero Gravity, one of my fave songs of theirs, and I really want to use the tracking on my model to make a cool video, so I've been experimenting with that. I think the idea is still up in the air, but I want to use the camera to get cool shots while doing the lipsyncing. The setup for this has been a bit wonky though. I recorded this test in Warudo, since it's a really nice tracking program. I used an xbox controller to control the camera at the same time at I did the lipsyncing, which was difficult ahahaha, but recently I found a script that turns the camera by itself, so I have to experiment further with that..
In addition to this cover, I've actually been working on an original song, which has become a bigger project where we want to make an EP or something like that! We gotta see where we'll go with this, but we already have almost one song done, and working on more! I hope I get to make some outfits for this, I think that would be really cool..
AH I also gotta mention Icebear Radio, I was also working on a new playlist to post, and I was almost ready with it, but then youtube took down my original playlist mix that I had posted, and now.. I don't really want to risk a lot of work just for it to be taken down... so Icebear Radio isn't up and running anymore, which is really sad :( It's understandable though, it got picked up by the system, but I was hoping the playlist could work as a passive income for the artists, and just making them visible, that was my original idea, but it is what it is... Maybe someday the Icebear Radio channel can become something else??
OK I think that's all I have for now, you've been really patient with me, and I appreciate that a LOT!! I hope I get to show you some cool things moving forward!!!!! Thanks for all the support, staying here for such a long time, I REALLY appreciate it!!!!!!

AH SORRY FOR THE EXTREMELY LATE REPLY JEHEMOTH!!! Yeah omg the internship has been so cool and I've learned a lot about the industry I wanna work in :O It's been really busy though, so I'm a bit drained hehehe, but I just gotta hang in there for a little while longer! The eyes are my favorite, they are so alive and cool ahhh like magic!!! I do sense that I will probably get more time to work on this now in the upcoming months, so that makes me excited! AHH I INSPIRE YOU? LETS GOOOOOO YES DO THE THING, life is too short not to be curious, and we're lucky to live in a time where you can learn skills anywhere by just googling it (sometimes with limited results lol but still!!!!!!) and that's so COOL!! I hope I get to do something different with Icebear radio, but yeah as you said, through doing that video I kind of found the visuals for Icebear, with colors and style and fonts and all that. I can probably use that for later! YEAH I've been trying to make that happen for a while now, but now we finally kinda have something :O additionally for that I'm doing a video that I think can be very cute hehehe, I think I'm gonna experiment with a clay look in 3D, but we'll see!! As always, thank you for all support, you've been here for so long! I don't want you to keep staying if you don't think it's worth it, which is understandable since I haven't been as active! Icebell's eyes on this model are quite captivating o: we shall anxiously await for the release of another banger. YOU know thinking about how you're doing things outside of Icebell.. like your studying, game jams and such inspires me to want to try new things and learn too! It's sad when some projects don't make it, like icebear radio, but the efforts were not in vain cause you made something cool :D anyways! An original Icebell song/EP?!?! (wowee!) Keep at it! I'll keep supporting and being here for you, even through the dry spells. You'll always be cool to me 8D

You’ve already made some pretty awesome stuff so I’m excited to see what kind of things you can achieve with this new experience too! I hope the stress levels don’t claim too high though 🙏 Yeah, the direction of this so far already looked neat, the feel of the typography and the camera movements is very clean, works well for this song. Looking forward to see what kind of changes you make! Yeah, can really flex the versatility of those blend shapes with this kind of thing (•̀ᴗ•́)و And oooh, I’m excited to see the aesthetic of that EP as well, I love it when Visuals are closely tied into Music. Aha, yeah, that would absolutely obliterate let’s plays 😬 Even Nintendo don’t seem too aggressive when it comes to the music copyright stuff which is kinda surprising, I hear animal Crossing tunes everywhere. I’d love to see that! You gotta make it happen one day, Icebear certainly deserves a game, I’d jump on that day 1! Ahhh, I’m glad it’s so well liked! If you want I could send over the swing patterns for the Littering plush and Icebear (whenever it’s done), I’m not a professional plush maker, it’s merely a hobby for me so the patterns might not be the best laid out but if any of you wanted to make one it’d give you a good place to start from :) But yeah, I’m psyched to get onto Icebear, I bet he’s gonna make a fabulous plushie! Ooooh! You should totally go for it! I’m working on the computer all day myself and I find working with physical mediums so refreshing, it’s much harder to scope creep with them too, when the plush is done it’s done y’know, I’m not there tinkering with forever like I am a 3D model, aha! But yeah! If you do felt a Icebear I’m sure we’d all love to see that! Mixing your mediums together for the shoes and eyes sounds neat too! And of course, no problem, your work is seriously rad so I’ll always be happy to support! 🍨🔔🧸🎉

I feel I can use that knowledge for my own projects as well! I'm really excited for what the future holds at this point!!! AH thank you! It's not very long, and it's simply just experimenting with camera movement and lipsyncing and the look of the lyrics, but I think the combination so far looks cool! I think I'll change it up a little bit for the final version though... I gotta use the ARkit blendshapes for something, and this is a really good way to show it I feel hehehe :D YEAH the EP project is really exciting, that also has a visual look that is a WIP, so once I get on to working with that again I can make a post here about it! Yeah, I think I would be safe if I only did video game music though... I think the rules aren't as strict there since I guess they would want people to post gameplay of the videogames, and having the copyright system take that down would maybe not be what they want lol. I hope Icebear gets to shine someday! The ultimate dream is to make a proper game for Icebear! aHHH don't worry about the Icebear plush!!! I'm still in awe from the litterling plush you made earlier, I think everybody that was a part of making that game said they really wanted one hahaha, so now I'm really curious to see how Icebear will look as a plushie!! I've been thinking of making a felted Icebear doll myself, with a wired skeleton, and making the shoes and eyes out of clay! Maybe I should, would be a good way to mix things up since I usually make things on the computer nowadays... I used to do more sewing, resin and clay stuff before, so you kind of inspired me to start thinking about that again! Thanks for being here at all and supporting me, it really means a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!

It sounds like a ton of fun, added responsibility can be stressful but it’s also cool to have more of a mark on the things you’re working on if you’re really enjoying it too! Sounds like it’s been an amazing opportunity if you’re learning so much! This video is great so far too! That lip sync is really impressive, is there any clean-up involved in it or is that how well you’ve got the tracking set-up? And of course, it’s always great to hear a such a nice Perfume cover, I love their music so much so I’m glad to hear it’s done such justice ଘ(੭T꒳T)੭ Also, that EP project sounds exciting, looking forward to hearing that! :O It’s sad to hear about Icebear radio, that playlist was such a vibe, I was wondering what happened to it, I guess music copyright stuff makes things so risky nowadays. I do hope it can make its return in some form one day though. Thanks for updating us, I hope all continues to go well in your studies and internship! Also sorry for not updating you on the Icebear plush! I haven’t had too much time recently as Christmas time is always a busy period but I plan on making proper progress after the new year (•̀ᴗ•́)و
