BoJack Horseman 5x4 FULL REACTION

BoJack Horseman 5x4 FULL REACTION

Wow, that Joss line did not age well given that we now know Joss is a pedo sexual predator who loves to abuse women in his power, especially young teen girls. I mean I take no pleasure in saying this. I used to idolize Joss, he wrote most every franchise I have ever loved but the truth is the truth and the truth is he is a monster.

Lucifer Moon

from what I understand with R. Kelly he was molested when he was a child right. And that probably developed an unhealthy sexual behavior. Once he game of money and power there was not too many people who was going to not play into his lifestyle no matter what they had to do. Which once again exacerbate the issue and make him think that what he’s doing OK which is it is probably perpetuate The abuse that he had happen when he was a child on other people. It’s a hard place to be the person who is closest to the person with a problem and try to convince or let go of that person. Especially if they are at central part of your life like your parents close family and friends. You don’t want them to suffer because you care about them. But you know what they have done it wrong. Weighing out if or if not it’s good to know that to them or take it a step further is even harder. Because usually you want to find them some help before you try to punish them. And with someone like Bojack he’s going to help so many times. That you don’t know if Will ever get better. But at a certain agree I think for Diane she needs to ask her self what she truly feels is OK. If she can’t let Bojack slide and understand that he can change and develop for the better or treat him like the other guy in episode. The sad thing is we have to follow Bojack. And we know he needs her in some kind of fashion. And if she became someone who did not approve of him I’m not sure if he won’t just spiral back into his hole which will enable him to do more fucked up stuff which it’s just a cycle from his mother.

The ending of this episode is so good! Your reactions were priceless. The long term planning of this show is something else. When that whole situation went down i think we all thought the Walrus would expose Bojack and i'd be over for him. Instead they kept it in limbo to shock us 2 seasons later. This also puts Diane in a strange position as his close friend. A shame considering they had that nice moment when Bojack said Diane changed him. Now she has to question if he's really changed at all and how many has he hurt in the past.

Purple Hearts

Normally, I don't agree, but they missed the best joke about overrated Wes Anderson is.

Deviant Parker

The main problem of our society is people put celebrities and other famous people on a pedestal and just expect they can do no wrong for whatever reason as if they aren't human like everyone else. I mean look at rkelly. When all that stuff came out about him people fully supported him and still chose to listen to his music and stuff like that continues to happen. Fans don't like to hold the celebrities they love accountable. I'm not a fan of cancel culture but I do believe if someone fucks up big they need to be called out on their shit to make it known to any and everyone that it's not ok.

Dune

or i'd say they could even pause it real quick and then continue.

Girls, one little thing - sometimes you start talking during the episode, get a bit distracted and miss some stuff, which can be a bit frustrating. If you ever catch yourself doing that, try to save it until after the episode when you discuss it. I want you to enjoy every little thing there is in this show and not miss some moments that can be important. Soon there are gonna be some episodes where the best thing to do will be literally to listen to it for 26 minutes and to pay as much attention as you can. P. S. Just to be clear, I absolutely love your reactions to this show and can't wait for the next episodes❤

Best thing I read all week. <3 Spacey

The legality is irrelevant. It’s disgusting to try to sleep with your ex’s much much younger child.

Ryan Roach

love me some free churros

Chris

I thought you were joking but that is all too real. Reading what the film is about makes me just shake my head. Just, wow.

Legality is the absolute bottom of the ethical scale. You can't just gloss over unethical behavior because it is technically legal. That leads to an amoral territory where people justify whatever they identify with inside of the law and there is no objective sense of decency within a societal framework.

It all depends on one simple thing: Has he really changed? I know he knows how shitty he is and what he does is wrong and he wants to be better, but is he? It is easy to like Bojack because we know that he has suffered trauma and he is also funny and can be sympathetic and even caring at times but fundamentally how much has he grown since season 1? He has grown for sure but not as much as he or us would like to believe. We've seen how easy it is for him to backslide on any progress he makes and it begs the question of how long before he reaches a point where he can't make it right. Should he be cancelled just because of what happened with Penny? Probably not. But that situation was merely a symptom, one sign among many of patterns and problems he has had over the course of the show. And you can treat the symptoms but unless you fic what the issues really are then they will continue. Like Todd said, a person can't do shitty things and think their guilty conscience somehow makes it better.

we got a free churro for the next week reactions y'all! :)

It's funny that you mentioned Harvey Weinstein since he is part of the reason the season took this direction. Raphael Bob-Waksberg, the creator, said he was shocked when he learned that Harvey was a fan of the show and of Bojack himself. Apparently it made him worried about what people took away from his show and what things it potentially encourages. This is part of what Diane was talking about. Quite a few shows have protagonists that are morally grey or even downright villainous. Think characters like Walter White, Saul Goodman, or Light Yagami. While these characters are written very well and honestly they were never intended to be people to be emulated or even beloved. Yet many people will vehemently exonerate characters like this because they are charismatic or charming or hide it with supposedly good motives. And yeah many people argue that these are simply fictional characters but they still present an example that some people, consciously or unconsciously, imitate.

Next week is gonna be good!

Foaming Clean

dude what it doesn't matter if it's legal it's clearly wrong

Francesca White

I did a guttural evil laugh I've never heard from myself seeing the parallels between this episode and this.

??

Less than four years after he was first accused of sexual misconduct, actor Kevin Spacey has a new film role to play a detective in Franco Nero’s film about a man wrongly suspected of child abuse.

??

The legality of it is certainly important. Does Bojack deserve to be "cancelled" for what happened? Obviously it weighs on his conscience. Maybe they should just take away his free churro privileges'.

fan357 fan357

The legality was never what it was about. It was the fact that he potentially could have taken advantage of a young girl who hadn't emotionally matured enough to make rational decisions. He refused Penny the first time because he knew that, which makes it even worse that he almost let it happen later. This is the type of stuff that's not talked about enough. The stuff that while not illegal is still pretty messed up.

Adam Vialpando

Even if Bojack would have hooked up with Penny it would have been legal. As Penny pointed out 17 is the age of consent in that state and she wasnt drunk. Just to be clear I'm not defending Bojacks actions. A lot of people assume Penny is underage which changes the situation.

fan357 fan357

Holy crap it is here already. Man, I thought it would be a week.
