At least she does a good job with it, honestly if I didn’t know of the VA I wouldn’t have had a reason to believe she wasn’t Vietnamese

Omg it's happening. It's REALLY happening. Thank you!!

Yeah, Alllison Brie herself expressed her regrets for voicing a Vietnamese character. This episode addresses her ethnic identity more than any other

I've said it before but you two putting yourself out there like you do is honestly so brave of you both. As someone who's had my own trauma and suffered from severe anxiety, the only way I've found to overcome it is to put myself in situations that challenge me and make me feel vulnerable. So well bloody done to both of you for this channel, as showing your vulnerability to thousands of strangers on the internet must take so much inner strength. On the women thing, I know I've noticed it a bit in other reactions where you did seem slightly more predisposed to hating the female villains vs the male ones. Tbh though as a woman myself it is obviously easier to relate to other women, and so especially when you've encountered women in your own life who are like these characters, it's only natural that you're gonna judge them more harshly because you're not like that so why are they? As you say though, things are changing thankfully and think it's more than possible to overcome our own learnt biases, even if it takes a little time Sending all the love from accross the pond <3

Ah the classic you've moved on but I haven't and I have to just deal with it and accept that I'll be lonely for awhile but I have to pretend that I'm ok. An oldie but not a goodie. Also talk about wanting to connect with your culture. I'm ghanaian-american but have never been there and I don't feel that close to my ghanaian heritage but I'm sure it would be a nice lil break and experience for me. Man I will say I do appreciate how much of y'all selves that y'all share on here. With a show like bojack it's hard to not relate to your own experiences. It's one of the reasons I like y'all. Y'all could easy just be like "yeah that was a good episode" but y'all don't and that's cool. A lot of y'alls in that paragraph wow.

Dune

In season 1 they really played into Bojack falling for Diane and him being more compatible and in tune with her feelings then Mr. PB; its funny how all this time later after getting to know them better, absolutely no one thinks its a good idea for them to be together; not even Bojack. Telling us about what happened to Todd and then going back to the party night where he foreshadows it was funny. But what's funnier is the same thing happened when PC left the first time, asking Flip if he was sure about the strip club scene because once its booked its final. In the last episode (Which is a few weeks ahead) Flip cancels the strip club scene and changes it to Gina being naked, eventually Bojack too.

I always had mixed feelings about this episode since Diane is voiced by Allison Brie. If you never read the Slate interview with the show runner about the casting, I'd recommend it! Link: https://slate.com/culture/2018/09/bojack-horseman-raphael-bob-waksberg-diane-nguyen-representation.html
