Without the gravity attack spam, Asta would not have gotten destroyed as easily as he did. Now he still would've gotten bodied, but still. Besides, Zenon took Yuno seriously enough to use 55% of the devils power, and yet he still took lasting damage against Yuno's Zephyr attack. Vanica literally has no defense against any of Asta's third sword attacks, nor 12 real doubles of Asta, so she is not clearing the BBs either. I'm not going about this from a narrative perspective, just a power scaling perspective. I guess narratively speaking your right. Also, why do you think Zenon is faster than AM attacks, even tho he seems to be the least mobile out of the triad by far? Zenon himself doesn't have any real feats of speed. And regarding Zenon absolute space control, I forgot he had that lol. That still doesn't do anything to Asta tho. Again, my whole argument relies on whether or not Zenon's bones get shattered by Asta's sword, which they should since he has bone magic. If not, Asta and the BBs get destroyed. What do you think of Dorothy's Glamour World vs Zenon's Spatial Mana Control?

2021-05-09 18:36:43 +0000 UTCI mean, it's not as if Zenon took Yuno seriously. Even in Asta's fight vs Dante, as soon as Dante got serious, he absolutely destroyed Asta. So vs Asta 1v1 i still think Zenon would win. So would Vanica. The entire point of this section of the story is to show how much stronger the Dark Triad is compared to everyone else, Asta's anti magic doesn't matter if he can't even hit Zenon before Zenon destroy him. And regarding Yami, Zenon's Devil's magic is to literally create a cube that negates magic - he'd have no problem with Yami's magic attacks EXCEPT for Death Thrust because that's not really "magic" but Zenon could probably block that with enough bones after unleashing 80% of his power.

2021-05-09 17:50:29 +0000 UTCNah, I don't think so. It wasn't shown in the anime, but when Zenon showed up to capture Yami, his hand was still quivering from Yuno's Zephyr attack. Yuno at this point in the series is much weaker than Asta, since he didn't maintain his elven mana and never went to train in the Heart Kingdom. I guess it really depends on if Asta's swords could just shatter Zenon's bones. If not then yea Asta might get clapped, unless he manages to get that devil arm first. I still don't think Zenon could've done better than Dante though, because he cant defend against any of Yami's big attacks (Dimension Slash/Equinox, Death Slice, and Death Thrust).
