2021-05-02 06:17:08 +0000 UTCThink Ember Island players had a LOT more character writing than this clip show did tbh, and the context with which it was told didn't make it feel like a clip show at all in ATLA. Think a few extra scenes and a few cut ones + a little more production value could have elevated the whole thing massively. But obviously this time they made it because of completely different reasons (budget) so it's totally understandable

The Fire Nation dragged the entire world into a war for over 100 years, and making them once again initiate a fight (since Kuvira didn't attack any non-Earth Kingdom territory yet) wouldn't exactly look great. Kuvira probably could spin in around and say the Fire Nation is invading again, getting even more EK citizens on her side.
