2021-04-23 01:59:45 +0000 UTC@Jev Cor And characters lol. And the music is basically the same (very good). Really the only thing UBW beats Zero in is visuals, and Zero's was already insane lol. I still like UBW, don't get me wrong it's good as well, but Zero is just better in near every way imo.

2021-04-22 17:38:14 +0000 UTCAll darkness is unnecessary. The darkness here is just less cartoony and hits in the gut. Story-wise, yeah Unlimited Blade Works is not as good. But the animation there is godly and unmatched. Fate/Zero was storytelling perfection, and dark has nothing to do with it. Even if characters suffered and had cruel fates, the way this was written was just insane. There is just enough glimmer of hope for the hopeful to keep on going.

It's more lighthearted and has highschool type setting for a bit so that settles the tone down a bit. For the question how people enjoy this I like it because it feels mature, twisted and more often than not the sad series stick with me longer than the ones that end happily. Anyway take your time xD

UBW is the natural progression for the series but in my opinion it was a HUGE let down. I'm not saying UBW is trash and I don't want to go into spoilers incase you watch UBW in the future. But there are a lot of better animes you could react to. Just my opinion.

2021-04-22 04:04:33 +0000 UTCThis is such a great reaction, I know you two aren't big on the "atmosphere" in Zero (dark and tragic) but your reactions are more than worth it. Cody/Darnell and Vanessa in the comments above mine put it well, Unlimited Blade Works is very "PG-13" in comparison to Zero; you two wouldn't be doing yourselves a favor by holding out on watching UBW. I can say this about the series without blatantly saying anything or spoiling the story in regard to the "atmospheric" differences between Zero/UBW and that is to say.... you should avoid watching the Heaven's Feel movies if you don't want to experience more of the same "atmosphere" that is present in Zero. Having said that.... I don't recommend skipping Heaven's Feel entirely; the animation is amazing. I'm just saying that between Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven's Feel..... the one you two should delay watching (because of atmosphere) is the Heaven's Feel movies and not UBW.... you two will definitely like UBW because it doesn't have the same "atmosphere". Now it's time for the question I've been waiting awhile now to ask: I'm sure you two won't want to think about it but I'm asking it anyway :] In Fate Zero which master and servant pair had the.... happiest conclusions to their story and which pair had the saddest xD
