Anybody else feel like the Titan powers just won’t allow itself to be removed ? It’s kinda like trying to destroy a gun by making it shoot itself. That’s why removing the Titan powers is somehow out of the question.

Right! Like, none of the warriors who have actually been sent to war trust in Marley. It's just that a) if they step out of line, all it takes is a radio call to Marley Public Security for them to get their families subjected to *literal eternal torment* as mindless titans, and b) like you said, Liberio as sucky as it is, is still the best possible living conditions in the world for Eldians (unless you would like to live on an island which is the target of the entire world's military power), especially as a Warrior. This means that as much as the Warriors might want to secure better living conditions for their families, the risk vs. reward means that any attempt to that end better have a near one-hundred percent chance of success. So everything Pieck said was right; she has to trust in the people who've shown they care about her and whose interests align with hers. For now, that means that until their families lose Marley's protection, and unless someone else offers their families protection (*ahem, Eren, maybe you shouldn't have stomped on their hometown and you would have had some extra titan allies*), it is most expedient for them to align with Marley for the moment to deal with the more pressing threat to their livelihoods. Any negotiation or reckoning with the government back home will have to come once he's dealt with.

exactly, and she's basically reached the highest level of comfort for her family at marley since she's a warrior. gonna be difficult to discard that security for this crazy teenager who can destroy the world :p

Yep, basically Marley is more of a looming, vague threat whereas Eren is a present and immediate threat to Pieck's family and friends. Also, Marley is sadly in a lot of ways the Warrior's best bet in terms of where it is safe to exist. Every other nation treats the Eldians worse than Marley does, since Marley actually needs to have at least some degree of trust between them and the Eldians.

Good point. However I still think that with the information they have, Pieck came to an extremely rational decision (though she was getting close to understanding that there was a certain “key” necessary for the Founder to work).

That's exactly what I believe would happen too. There's too much distrust and underlying fear, that even if Paradis claimed they cannot transform anymore, the world will continue to hate them.

the point im trying to make is that people are still going to want to attack. i assumed imon asked "why cant eren just make them not become titans anymore" as a way to tell the world "leave us alone we cant become the thing yall fear" so my response is to that idea that attacks would cease

if pieck joins eren then she joins a plan that either forces sterilization on everyone or the rumbling happens and marley is destroyed including all of her family and everyone she loves and cares for. i totally get her wanted to stay with the enemy she's aware of (marley) vs join some crazy threat that seems to want to genocide eldians (sterlize) or genocide everyone that's not a paradis eldian (rumbling) lol... pieck would probably get the same black flag pyxis has and be killed or imprisoned after eren and the crew used her. if she saves marley, there is at least a chance she can help the ppl she cares for. there is no chance for her family if eren and zeke have their way x.x

Well according to Yelena, Eren would use the threat of the Rumbling to deter any attacks while the Eldians died out peacefully.

Do hydrogen bombs actually matter when the Colossal can literally act as a living bomb? Not only that, but the Founder would be able to create Titans like the ones on Paradis for their own version of the Rumbling...

@GraffitiTurtle, Ksaver mentioned in the previous episode that he found out how to break the vow renouncing war on his own, and specifically did not mention it to Marley. This is the same reason that Pieck keeps prodding Eren about Zeke's scream ability. Marley knows that the titan is dormant due to the vow renouncing war, but they do not know that Eren needs to touch Zeke in order to use it. The reason that Bertholdt and Reiner said that Historia was important is detailed in a cut scene from the manga; basically they had already determined that the king was a sham and that Reiss was likely the true royal bloodline or associated with it, and knew that the Founder was supposed to be held by the king.

even if eren says "hey world, we cant become titans anymore i stopped it." the world already hates them and i guess their island also has natural resources so ppl are gonna wanna attack and colonize them regardless. remember with willy talked about the war renouncing vow and ppl were immediately like "ok so no rumbling?? lets go attack them right now then" before he started talking about eren. sadly ppl will always want to attack paradis

Marley wants to hold the founding titan in order to deter others from attacking them long enough to develop conventional military weapons that can surpass other nations. It's likely only a matter of time until hydrogen bombs or something like that are invented in this universe. Once planes and non-titan WMDs exist in this universe, even the founding titan is done for and there will be nobody looking out for Eldians.

Even if the Founding Titan being absolute was a lie that originated from Zeke, it wouldn’t make sense for Pieck to switch sides anyway because it’s what they’ve all been led to believe. And Marley is certainly aware of how the royal bloodline is necessary for the Founding Titan. Otherwise how else would a shifter like Ksaver become aware of it? And remember, Reiner and Bertholdt knew that Historia was important back in Season 2. They were certainly aware of the royal bloodline and their connection to the Founder. Even if Zeke told them, the fact that they know means Marley knows. And I don’t believe that Marley would ever consider the Founder useless. They already showed a great understanding of it through their history and research. It couldn’t have ALL been influenced by Zeke.

Well (while Pieck may not be aware of it), that's not necessarily true either because there's a ton of complications associated with using the Founding Titan, especially for Marley. Remember that the whole Founding Titan is absolute idea was put into Marley's head by Zeke. Unbeknownst to them however, the Founding Titan needs the use of both the titan itself and a shifter with the Royal Bloodline (which so far as Marley knows is just Historia and her child). There is a fairly good chance Marley could get the Founding Titan but not understand how it can be used and just consider it useless
