It's the reign of the short sighted. The problem with the thought process surrounding Zeke's plan is two-fold. A) People will suffer, regardless of Titans. And most of the time, they'll bring it on themselves. B) He could just, you know, make it so that people can't turn into Titan's anymore, instead of literally making it so that they can't birth children, lol. Fuckin' idiot. And on Eren's side of things, "im free" this, "i'll kill" that. NIgga, how many Titan brains do you have floating around in your head? Who do you think is influencing you, you fucking try-hard? Armin could easily turn that logic right back on him. And in Mikasa's case, who knows? There could be some truth to what he said, but the logic of "oh you just THOUGHT I was your kind, that's why, lul" seems so incredibly flimsy to me. Even as a Manga reader, that stills seems debatable. All these angry, broken people generating all these short-sighted, vitriolic ideologies. All these Histories so fucked and murky that true history might as well not even exist. This is such an amazingly human story, it's straight up terrifying. Hitler, Stalin, countless humans throughout time, so broken and hurt seeking only to break and hurt thinking that somehow there might be some measure of peace or happiness or freedom at the other end of Hell. It hurts to watch because that's exactly how it really be sometimes.

2021-03-24 07:51:12 +0000 UTCI recently just rewatched an episode from Grey's Anatomy where this patient - a male white supremacist with a swastika tattoo on his abdomen refused to be operated on by a black, female doctor. His colleague and partner at work as a paramedic was even a female black person, and they were buddies. Confusing right lol 'cause he said he's not the devil but just justified it as "I'm just a guy with a belief system". He requested to have a white doctor with them during the surgery because he's afraid that the black doctor might kill him intentionally during surgery. The doctor still chose to operate on him, given the circumstances as her way of "rising above". She said that if she refused to operate, which is her right, then that would make her exactly like the patient. In the end, after the surgery, the white doctor that helped operate on him then shared his "belief system" that if that guy was dead, the world would be a better place. Some interesting insight I just recalled from your erase the population part of discussion. I dunno. Sorry the context was long lol but I hope it was something haha

2021-03-24 01:43:20 +0000 UTCUpdate: It looks like Japan is teasing an Attack on Titan Season 4 part 2 and it's scheduled to be released in the fall. If it's true, then that'll give them plenty of time for the manga to end first and prepare a proper finale. Now, does this mean we'll get more episodes or will it be a movie? I have no clue. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they just used the six-month break to work on the remaining episodes. That seems to be the logical step. As to "who will step up to be the hero," honestly... no one. Everyone's a villain in some shape or form. So this series seems like it's destined to have a heartbreaking finale. Almost like Neon Genesis Evangelion.

By including that line it helps us sympathise with why he's doing what he's doing to Zeke, which I think would have been a bad message to send. Totally understand why some people are upset, but think artistically it was a good choice personally

I fully support the rumbling, i would never choose to kill of my entire race, it's my right as a human to have kids. i would glady support a plan that could led to the death of billions, if that is my only other choice. but maybe search for other options first :D

2021-03-23 22:20:27 +0000 UTCThere's a part in the manga that I wish they kept, though I'm sure they had their reasons, during the dinner scene Zeke says to Grisha that his grandpa said that it was his fault his sister died because he took her beyond the walls. Grisha says what did I do that was so wrong? I just wanted to see the airship. It really shows how inside Grisha is still just a traumatized kid. I mean the whole Jaeger family is.
