I think the last scene is more meant to be about what the song that played was about. "Stars" performed live by Nina Simone, it's a 1-of-a-kind performance from the 70s where Nina became so overwhelmed that she forgot the lyrics to the song halfway through, and ad libbed this incredible piece. 'Stars' is already very similar to Bojack as a show. The song lyrics are about people lusting for fame, and how fame affects different people at different stages, how the young people find fame, but get replaced over time and no longer no how to be, or how the old find fame after their soul is empty. Nina's ad lib version sings about how, regardless of all this, what's true for everyone is that they always have a story to tell, each person tells the same story in their own way. The running horses probably also remind Bojack of Secretariat, who killed himself too, and Secretariat said to Bojack that you just keep running forwards. He saw the horses running, sweating, working hard. I think it's a combination of those ideas.

The way they combined them with other parts of the season: character actress Margo Martindale; The underwater Pacific Ocean city; Cabracadabra; the stripper whales; and the sun reflecting off the blimp to cook the pasta that was designed as a mirror to promote Secretariat because Bojack picked that ad; it was glorious how they added it all together! Really love the scene where Diane told Bojack what Horsing Around meant to her growing up and how it has helped millions of people like her by providing a positive family atmosphere. I know you can relate Imon as you've told us how media positively affected you growing up. Losing Sarah Lynn is devastating but hopefully he can be like those other horses and get back running in the right direction to being a healthier more fulfilled person. Sorry to hear how closely you relate to Bojack speeding with no hands on the wheel Abi. I hope you know we're really glad you found your way to parking up safety and taking care of yourself and loving yourself.
