Yeah I definitely agree and like what the girls and you were saying. For us guys an opportunity is another option that presents itself when we're not even looking. However it is our choice if we wish to see how it can play out. Nobody inthe end wants to be in a fixed relationship.

Hilarious reaction to Su's low blow comment. Shots fired! Great discussions as always. Great to see the deeper perspectives.

Y'all are single? Wine and dine? Just say the word?

Its crazy that did that to the character that had the most romantic interest in the show. Lack of Sokka (and Suki) is the one glaring flaw of this show.

ive always felt like water benders compress and contract the actual molecules and change the phase of the water that way , and the same would go for earth

Meanwhile Sokka has no children. Or barely any cameo scenes in Korra. The writers really did just say "fuck you" to him lmao.

a lot of men pretend to be picky and shallow (and many of them are indeed shallow lol) but yeah a number of men will definitely try to 'make it work' just bc we know we have a chance lol

It's great and cute seeing Opal and Bolin understanding and supporting each other. I think he just had to get to know her better for them to click.
Toph didn't want to be like her parents but she still needed to be a parent. It's unfair that Lin had to step up and try to manage Su's rebellious stage. It is good that Lin was able to open up and express her feelings about the situation and exercise them.
Aang / Katara and Toph might have had children with issues growing up but there's always Zuko! We haven't seen any disfunction from from his Grandson Iroh. O.G. Iroh would be proud.

As a guy I can understand bolin's shift when he finds out opal likes him. Women in general don't have to try as hard to find a partner. We guys are usually super easy and just throw ourselves at woman but it doesn't work that way vice versa unless you're some hot, muscular, tall dude.
So it's that mindset of " She's not really my type but she likes me so I wonder if I could see myself with her". I do agree through that if someone isn't your type you shouldn't try to force it but you never know. Through forcing it you could actually end up feeling things for that person.

Water bending has really easy phase shifting between solid (ice) water (liquid) and steam (gas) because the relative pressures required to reach those states are far less extreme than for carbon based minerals.
From what we see Ghazan do with his lava shurikens it's most likely he's increasing the pressure (compressing it) and stimulating the particles in order to phase shift it into lava.

Gazan is an earthbender, lava is molten rock but I don't know the complete science behind it too

Ming-Hua, the water bender on Zaheer’s squad, is voiced by Azula’s VA btw!!

I love Lin, her story resonates so much. It's so apparent that when we repress our emotions, it keeps us frozen. Su was right in a way, Lin kept projecting on to her that she hasn't changed when in reality it was Lin's own inflexibility preventing her from moving forward in her life.
