It seems like Katara and possibly Zuko were the best 'parents' out of the original team Avatar.

2021-03-13 07:35:59 +0000 UTCOne of the things Legend of Korra made me realize was that the entire main roster of Last Airbender was denied the chance to be a normal kid growing up in a household with your typical mother, father, and siblings. Aang was raised by monks and had plenty of siblings but he never understood what it was to have a father past childhood because of the whole iceberg situation. Katara and Sokka are orphans, Zuko is the poster child for daddy issues, and after her dad sent a pretty vicious duo of what were basically bounty hunters after her, it's understandable that Toph would be extremely averse to punishing her daughter. It's so very unfortunate how their kids ended up but that's what happens when your teenage years are spent learning how to save the world. Honorable mention to Korra as well for being to nosy with Keeping up with the Bei Fongs, she's never had a sibling and was raised by adults which I personally feel is the reason why she can be so... socially awkward at times.
