Let it be known that Abi and Imon like handlebar creep mustaches.

We honestly have to face the fact that Korra gets picked on. not throwing shade at the ppl that do it but its so obvious now after watching reactors from Last Airbender and Korra. The evidence is in the reactions. I really do not understand why these two protagonist are treated differently but its just the way it is. Abby and Imon are the best reactors to this show so far. they are not as negative to Korra as most reactors are which till this day blows my mind cause i simply do not know where the hate comes from.

You explained this so well. I was trying to pretty much say the same thing lol but couldn't put it in these exact words. I also like to think that it's apart of Wan's nature (Him intervening with Raava and Vaatu's conflict). Since the Avatar's are pretty much Wan reincarnated in a way, I feel like all of them have that natural desire to help others resolve conflict.

@Jayrellim Korra is the one who came up with the plan to begin with. Sue wanted her daughter to stay and Korra made the decision as the Avatar to assist Opal as she see's fit. Lin is the one who came on Korra's mission, not the other way around. Also, I personally think that the only reason Korra agreed to help Opal with the initial teachings of airbending was out of respect that this was Lin's family which would of happened with or without Lin's presence. At the end of the day, Lin could have left and have some guards assigned to Korra, but decided to stay, creating tension that's obviously distracting for Korra. I brought up Aang because it's a consistent theme for Avatars to want to help with conflict, even if it seems like they should mind their business at times lol.

i get what youre saying. but korra herself chose to stay there and train opal instead of sticking with the original plan to take her to the other airbenders so the whole "with so much tension, she isnt able to focus on training or finding airbenders" doesnt make much sense to me bc she put herself in that situation by staying and can leave to do the original plan anytime

Korra cant help it, its in her nature to help when there's conflict. We understand that better now in the context of her being part Raava who is a spirit of peace. Korra is also aware of how prolonged family conflict can be harmful to everyone (i.e. her own father and Unalaq to use an extreme example). Lin is her friend (especially by the end of S1) At the same time, she crossed a boundary despite her good intentions. Learning lessons on all sides I think.

So i guess the Zaheer shippers were right after all. Didn't expect the crush on Huan but after thinking about it he does have the same kind of demeanor as Shinso from MHA. The Lin dommie crush though..... i might need to hear more about that.
I feel bad and empathetic to Lin here. When no one understands your pain and they expect you to just get over it even though your still slighted. You often don't want to explain how you feel because maybe you don't think you'll be understood.
Still no reason to take it out on Naga and her ball!!!!! (and Opal too I guess; but poor Naga loved that ball.)

I think y'all missed the mark with this one when it comes to Korra trying to help. Let's be real, if this was Aang, he would of done the same thing. Korra may have crossed the line with that last statement for sure but honestly, it's needed. With so much tension, Korra isn't able to focus on training and finding other airbenders due to the family drama so it makes sense that she's trying to help and it shows growth that Korra is actually trying to help Lin feel better more so than fix the family drama altogether. Of course this is still a great reaction btw.
