I really don't understand all the hate for the Dad. Sure he was researching a taboo subject but at the moment he was only working on plants if I'm not mistaken. I mean it was Shirley that basically got everyone killed. She stole the formula from the Dad and used it on herself without his knowledge.

2021-03-04 00:06:08 +0000 UTCHey not spoilers or anything, but the dead apostles have nothing to do with irisviel who is a homunculous/vessel made by the einzberns ( one of the three big mage families along with tohsakas and matous). Kiritsugu was contracted by the einzberns to fulfill their desire to win the holy grail and part of this was ‘getting’ iri. Separate point but cool lore, immortality is seen as one way to reach the ‘root’ which is kinda the end goal for most Mage’s (infinite knowledge of everything is there etc etc), which is the same thing Tokiomi (rins dad) was trying to achieve by getting the grail and having all the servants used as a sacrifice.
