2021-03-03 00:49:28 +0000 UTCsome of it was also about following trends. Fist of the North Star was super popular in the 80s so Araki kinda based early JoJo off of that. then towards the 90s sleeker designs was in fashion so this is where part 4 falls in line with.

The early part 4 manga is a lot closer to the Stradust Crusaders style, but everything got a lot softer and more stylised towards the end of the part, so this inspired the art direction for this season. The colour choices (bright yellow sky and purple trees and so on) also imitates the way Araki tends to use colour. Early part 4 Josuke is particularly cursed if you ask me - bit hard to look it up without running into spoilers, but would be a fun to do once you're done with this part!
