The way I view it. If Mai just left she would be homeless. The clan interferes with Maki getting a promotion when she deserves to be, so what's to say they wouldn't interfere in Mai's desire to be 'normal' even if she does leave. I hope she finds some positive from her situation though.

2021-02-09 02:45:52 +0000 UTCI hope one day Mai can be happy as a Jujutsu sorcerer. It's not fair to either sister that they can't be allowed to live how they want. Maki leaving made the clan force Mai into school, and if Mai had her way Maki would be miserable as a servant. If the clan respected them Mai could stay home and Maki could be free to pursue being a sorcerer.
