I mean they haven't said anything that they didn't this episode? It's just Gilgamesh is a total diva and doesn't talk in straight forward sentences 90% of the time. I've rewatched the show 3 times now and only just getting the gist of his character.
Hope you guys move to the full version before it's done as a lot of the extra scenes help flesh out the cast and plot a fair bit.

Ok, um, I know you want to clarify a lot, but stop "speculating" so loudly, and let them take in the mystery aspect, mk?

I THINK what Archer is getting at is that Kirei enjoys watching tragedies.
He's in denial about it because of his ""christian"" upbringing, but underneath it, he's a total sociopath. And because he's never been happy, and all the evil things he actually loves gets admonished, he jumped to the conclusion that "Joy" itself was evil.
The sad truth is that it's only evil for HIM. Because he was born evil. He's so evil that he would, from the look on his face, be sincerely disappointed if by some miracle Kariya actually managed to survive the grail war and have a happy ending with Rin, Sakura, and their mother.
I suppose, if there's a lesson to be learned here, it's that you should pay attention to your most treasured fantasies no matter how insidious they may be. They'll tell you what kind of person you are, deep down.
Or maybe the show is just trying to present a scenario where genuine, natural evil, actually can exist in human form, without and real reasoning behind it. Which is probably closer to reality than anyone wants to admit.
