I think the idealogoies of both arthur and iskandar would make a perfect king. Someone who is strong and ambitious but also someone who leads their troops into battle instead of just protecting them because as soon as the king leaves they wouldn't know how to properly fend for themselves. As the king you can't show weakness. You have to accept all the decisions you make and if anything learn from it. Saber wasn't necessarily a bad king but she could've done a much better job.

2021-01-14 20:47:16 +0000 UTCFate got me to research a lot of historical figures and a lot of it is necessary to completely understand their viewpoints. If you look up the historical counterparts or their legends, it will not spoil you, it is just nice to see how some of it was included in their designs, motives, personalities, etc. What Rider was basically saying is Saber`s philosophy as a king is just pure suffering. Instead of standing at the front with her men, charging into battle, sharing the burdens, she stands IN front of her men, trying to shield them from harm, protecting them, taking on the pain all alone. So instead of fighting WITH them, she is fighting FOR them. She is a tragic figure that sacrificed everything (her youth, her womanhood, her life, basically her whole being) for her subjects to be the perfect king but in the end, lost everything. (this we have seen in the flashbacks of her pained figure standing over a mountain of bodies) Rider implies that by doing that, her men never learned to fight for themselves, to think for themselves, as she is always there to save them. But what happens when she is not there? What happens when their shining hero, King Arthur, is absent and they have to fend for themselves? What happens when she is not there to hold everyone together? Her viewpoint is a big reason for the downfall of her kingdom.

2021-01-14 06:16:58 +0000 UTCI know, this is why i've been asking them and their editors to please add some sort of audio or visual reference like just every 5 minutes or so. Since they wear head phones it's incredibly hard to re-sync with them should something happen. Especially with anime there are so many different streaming platforms the time code alone is not enough. I love Abi and Imons reactions but honestly I have the most issues with their full length videos more so then any other channel. Take Blind Wave for example, it doesn't matter which version they are watching, if they're streaming and I'm watching the Blu-Ray even if it gets out of sync it's easy enough to line it back up to my version using the audio from their version. The Normies on a lot of their full length reactions their editors will put up a like 10 second visual reference every 5 minutes or so which really helps.
