It’s also bc the manga chapters are on the shorter side. The animation has improved later in the show but we have all seen the wonky looking animation from time to time, I’m not a fan of when shows decide to do ongoing episodes instead of having shorter seasons with better animation. That’s why the show caught up to the manga and they had to throw in a filler arc as a bumper to give the manga some time to get ahead again. I’ve been so annoyed with some episodes bc I felt like they didn’t deliver on the animation and art side only bc the art on the manga is just so damn good but it is what it is...

2021-01-02 12:03:21 +0000 UTCThe reason why Black Clover does these recap episodes is because the Black Clover animators have been constantly working putting out new episodes every week for 4 years. So these recap episodes give them a sort of very deserved mini break. Which is also why BC doesn't have amazing art and animation every episode. However the BC animation team absolutely loves BC and works overnight without being paid to make the big moments and episodes have great art and animation that it deserves. Which goes unnoticed by alot of people in the fanbase

2021-01-02 04:48:30 +0000 UTCOne of my only gripes with black clover is how much time is wasted recapping the show every episode and doubly so when the entire episode is a recap.
