Honestly I’m more interested in Annie’s mindset, Bertoldt is how a typical kid would be in that situation I feel. Annie cares about very little (or tries to) and we don’t really know why. She’s clearly not psychotic (if you watch the Lost Girls OVA that becomes really obvious, idk why Imon and Abi never did), so I have to wonder why she turned out like this

Yeah I was sitting here looking like I know this man who is this and then the reveal happened. I’m not sure how to feel about Reiner but I was scared for him with the gun. Plus idk if this has already been discussed but remember the first epi where Falco couldn’t remember who he was and was talking about flying through the sky. Since we already have future memories going to the past ( Eren Krueger & Eren Yeager) does that mean that Falco does get a Titan? This has nothing to do with attack on Titan but Imon where did you get that sweatshirt? 😂 Inquiring and buying minds need to know

someone on YT shared a thought that i found particularly disturbing. They believe that Reiner’s mother intentionally seduced a Marleyan in order to get out of her situation. When that failed she had his child and brainwashed him so that she could become an honorary Marleyan thru him.

First time I've seen people laugh at reiner almost killing himself 🤣 but I get it's more of a shocked 'wtf is going on' kind of laugh because I understand how crazy that scene is

I don't know if you'll read, but i wish to add 2 little things, the first is something few catched, when Annie wake up in the wall w/ Reiner & Bertholt, they are in the same room w/ Eren, Mikasa & Armin, you can see them in the background. The second is a little trivia never explicitly said, Falco et Colt name is Grice, the same as the restorationist who came to Grisha when he was a doctor at Marley. He's actually their uncle, brother of their father. You can deduct that they probably where pushed to became titan holder to redeem their family

If you watch that scene again on top the Wall (Rose?) with Reiner, Bert and Ymir a the end of season 2, with the new context of these episodes you realize Ymir knew full well what was going to happen to her. So she wanted to help Reiner and Bert and save them from punishment after failing their mission, possibly them getting eaten. She said she was the only one that understood their situation, she was one of them, an Eldian living in some internment camp in Marley until her cult was punished and sent to Paradis. Plus, Ymir knew Eren meant hope for Historia, he would stop Marley with the Founding TItan. If she had turned herself in to the military and the nobility within the Walls, she'd be killed too, or be eaten to pass on her power, and there would be no Reiner or Betholdt to advocate for Historia's life when Marley attacks again or conquers the Island. The evil wrought upon the world is the fault of Marley, they use and manipulate children, keep the Eldian population like cattle and cannon fodder, brainwash them with propaganda to control them. Reiner and the rest can only follow the path ahead of them, and it cost him his sanity, and Marcel and Bertholdt their life, and Annie her freedom. Reiner has to toe the line and go along with Marley, or his whole family would be used as Titan weapons. Yes, Reiner is responsible. But Marley is tenfold responsible.

I'd be interested to see bertholdt's past. Annie clearly doesn't give a fuck but he seemed to be seriously conflicted previously. When they kidnapped eren and he said do you think I enjoy doing this? He seems to kindhearted for war but considering he kept doing it I guess he had some resolve.

I totally get you opinion that Reiner deserves pity, and I do agree, but think for a second... besides Zeke, is there anybody who's more responsible for the needless death and destruction that's happened in this series. He got away from the Marleyan propaganda, he fought alongside the Paradisian Eldians, he forged deep friendships and understood their lives. There were whole years between when they destroyed Wall Maria and when he proposed to destroy Wall Rose. He had Annie killl dozens and dozens of the Scouts, then killed more after kidnapping Eren. He brought Ymir back to Marley, promising her leniency but knowing full well they'd kill her off to let Galliard take the Jaw from her. And he's still working with the Marleyean military to conquer and destroy other nations and their armies. He is a damned character, and he deserves some pity, but the colossal weight of the evil he's wrought on the world cannot be understated or forgotten. I LOVE this show and how they show every side of every character.
