You missed the important after credits scene. Watching Re:Zero you ALWAYS should look to see if there are after credits scenes because sometiems it has.

Careful man you’re spoiling a bit of info. The dragons name has not been mentioned yet , and you should leave the “8 deadly sins” as 7 because now you’ve hinted at the existence of others , hinting is the same as spoiling so just be careful we want to see a surprised reaction, I don’t want them to expect that stuff

By the way, you missed the end credits scene.
Also, a little clarification on the "Witch" and "Arch Bishop" thing.
The "Witch Cult" is run by "Arch Bishops" who embody one of the "7 Deadly Sins". However, the functional entirety of the Witch Cult is ONLY fixated on the Witch of Envy.
We've already met the Arch Bishops of Sloth, Gluttony, and Greed, Petelgeuse Romanee Conti, Ley Batenkaitos, and Regulus Corneas, respectively. They all only serve the "big witch", Envy, for all intents and purposes. Petelguese was just more directly obsessed with her.
Now all the actual "Witches" were, in various ways, extraordinary Women who lived some 400 years ago, including the Witch of Envy. For whatever reason, 400 years ago, she destroyed half the world of Re:Zero, killing the other Witches in the process, which is why Echidna holds a special grudge against her.
The forms the Witches take in this episode is how they were before she killed them.
After that, the Sword Saint of the time, one of Reinhardt's ancestors, a Mysterious "Sage", and the great Dragon worked together to sort of separate her into a different dimension, and to this day the Kingdom of Lugnica's "King" serves a contractual obligation of some sort with that Dragon to maintain the safety of what's left of the world.
However, she is not dead. Her fingers can still reach out from beyond, and her powers and influences still effect the world, and the Witch Cult is dedicated to fully resurrecting her. For whatever reason, they may believe Emilia is key to doing this, according to Pretelgues.
That is all. Just some clarification of what has already been shown. Thus far.

There was a post credit scene you missed! It's not that big but just adds context and info on a certain character

Okay, you guys mentioned that you think this is the halfway mark and the rest will come out in a few months.
Good news, you're right.
Even better news, by the time you're done with this, the rest of season 2 will have already started airing, so you won't need to break the series.
Season 2 part 2 starts on January 6th 2021!
And as a light novel reader I must say, prepare for some lovely tragedy!
