2020-12-09 18:20:10 +0000 UTCYou are correct, the operation to get the founding titan 9 years ago was Reiner and crew. Them (plus Zeke) losing that operation caused the 4 year war in the episode. The Mid-East Allied Forces saw it as Marley's military power weakening.

Is that referring to when reiner and his crew came to paradis when they were younger with the ultimate goal of bringing back the founding titan? Also I'm assuming zeke saying their defeat caused this war is also referring to that last battle between them and eren's crew?

2020-12-09 00:35:00 +0000 UTCAn answer to another question: Yes, Reiner is Eldian. Everyone that can turn into a titan is Eldian. Marleyans cannot turn into titans. And this is just me guessing, I don't imagine culturally the Marleyans recognize half-blooded Marleyans/Eldians... I'd bet at that point they're just considered Eldian.

2020-12-09 00:18:03 +0000 UTCJust to clarify in the episode Gabi said she wanted to kill the Eldians on Paradis (Eren and Co) because they're the reason why Eldians in Marley and the main land suffer (brainwashing propaganda from the Marleyans). And, that if she were to do that then she would be able to free the Eldians in Marley in concentration camps.
