These reactions are always great of course, but hearing her say Aang would never allow this to happen is crazy. Aang lost ba sing se in season two and the water tribe was nearly destroyed and the moon spirit died and yue died to bring the moon spirit back during the first season. Comparing won't help if it's not realistic. lol Korra doesn't know airbending yet and honestly I thought she handled the airplanes well with what she could do considering she can't enter the avatar state yet as compared to aang but even then, in a war the avatar can't stop it all alone.

Speaking of skin color- there's official art of Aang & Katara with their kids, and it's super clear how much darker she is than Aang. And how their kids are mixed. Looking forward to ya'll meeting Bumi. He's a favorite of mine.

You maybe right, but they did the same thing in reverse which was weird, zuko and all the fire benders were turned "brown" when they should be way closer to Japanese technically. M night made the movie so if anyone is "racist" (even though it's way more likely to be ignorance instead) its him. I just pretend that Avatar and the movie are completely unrelated Haha

Honestly the thirst / man appreciation is a part of why a lot of us enjoy your reactions. In episode 1 Katara tells Pema that Tenzins siblings, Kya and Bumi were less serious then Tenzin. All 3 have names of people important to Aang and Katara's life. Tenzin Gyatso; Aangs mentor; Kya after Katara's mom and Bumi after Aangs only human friend from before being frozen that he met again after waking up from the Iceberg and one of his best friends.

Have been so excited for this one all week, seriously glad you're both enjoying it so much. Literally the only racists involved in the Last Airbender Movie were the people casting those bloody characters, was an worse case of white washing than the Ghost in the shell movie. It's not a spoiler, so I can talk about it. Taking away bending has to do with chi paths. Remember how Ty Lee hits people, which blocks their chi and they can't bend? And waterbenders can heal, which has to do with manipulating chi paths. So a waterbender as strong as Amon can sense the chi paths, and with bloodbending, he can permanently cut off chi, removing bending. Aang did the same thing, but instead of bloodbending, the Lion Turtle gave him Energybending, which means he also manipulates the chi paths to block them off. Aang and Amon do block bending in the same ways, but using different things. I won't say anything, but the main thing people have issues with is in book 2. But thats because of Nickelodeon screwing with the creators, budget cuts, time constraints and whatnot. Ill talk about that next week. See you gals then!
