I’m up to your episode 3 reaction and I don’t know if anyone has told you 2 things. It doesn’t seem like anyone outside of Uhtred and Brida aged because in the books Uhtred is only about 16 or so when he finds Beocca and Alfred. That’s why they didn’t really age anyone else. Also, Alfred has something like Crohn’s disease I think ( I googled him). He is unable to eat meat and other things that are hard for his body to break down because it causes him stomach pain. Hence, he eats lots of fruit, milk, broth and gruel.

One of the things I like about this series is that although it can be brutal and harsh to the characters, its core has a lot of heart. The characters really do feel like family over time and most of the characters have some level of growth over the course of the show. Characters you think you'll hate, you find yourself liking (and then hating again), relationships start, stop or surprise you in ways you don't expect. It's a great show, with a great cast. Thanks for letting us watch your reaction to it. Oh spoiler for next season: there'll be even more guys for you to thirst after. :) Ok, maybe that wasn't really a spoiler. lol
