It always confused me that Subaru was meant to be the average shut-in yet he is such an extrovert in this new world he was in. The episode really ties it all together, he thought he could get a second chance with everyone. If you re-watch Season 1, you'll see him projecting a lot of his problems to others (the ones we see in this episode). And when he realizes the problems he had in his old life was himself, that's where the depressive episodes began (ep 13 - 18). The writing is amazing here

Dude! I fucking loved it. So I'm super happy you said that. Idk. I watch a lot of other reactors and most of them said "s1 better" around this point. And I'm like: "WTH? This season has WAY more depth than season 1." They eventually came around on... that episode... but mannn. I loved every episode this season.

Loving the reactions. It was around this point people started saying this season "isn't as good" as Season 1. Because everything so far is pretty chill. People have no patience sometimes. Anyways. Just seeing where you are. Keep going.
