Yeah, it would make more sense if their spiritual energy or whatever they use as a power gave them a defense bonus like in HxH, but they haven't said that to be the case.

I agree, when Fushiguro got thrown punched into the wall by that curse spirit blood came out his mouth and he was all kinds if incapacitated...in this he got DBS Broly'd into the walls multiple times and came out decent...maybe knowing his friend bout to die gave him the subconscious adrenaline to survive? Idk

Has nothing to do with realism. It has to do with the power system they’ve set up. In a story, setting rules and then not abiding by them is very silly. Megumi was out of commission episode 1 because he was bashed against a wall and thrown through it ONE time. And he gets thrown through 2 whole buildings and dragon ball Z hammered down into an apartment complex and can not only still stand up but he can even fight??? That’s what you call a “ridiculous exaggeration” for animation’s sake.

Who wants realism in their anime and manga?

they highly exaggerated him being thrown through buildings. he is human. he should be dead. it was stretched enough in the manga but that was ridiculous in the anime lol
