Yeah, it would make more sense if their spiritual energy or whatever they use as a power gave them a defense bonus like in HxH, but they haven't said that to be the case.

Idk

Megumi was out of commission episode 1 because he was bashed against a wall and thrown through it ONE time. And he gets thrown through 2 whole buildings and dragon ball Z hammered down into an apartment complex and can not only still stand up but he can even fight??? That’s what you call a “ridiculous exaggeration” for animation’s sake.
