Screw the animation or even the characters if you want, but it's the lessons they learn. There's no reason for lowering their expectations or soft spoiling at this point, it's generic among all of the reaction channels I have seen besides Goodwin's.

Either way people dislike or like it for different reasons relating to retcons and stuff they change about the avatar world which are pretty bad changes but other than that theres nothing to make it a "horrible" show I think the action alone makes it an enjoyable watch

2020-10-31 00:06:13 +0000 UTCPretty bad take for several reasons. I dislike dragon ball super but have watched dbz and the original about 10 times each and loved every second. If a dragon ball super fan said I wasn't a real fan because I don't like super I'd promptly call them a fool. Korra and Avatar are very different in narrative and Korra doesn't share much with Avatar retconning very important things. This entire series is basically showing how weak an avatar could be and it completely ruins certain aspects that I loved in avatar by just changing it or making it far less important. You see this with spirits and the avatar state. I personally like korra (season 1 an 3) but I would never pretend the show doesn't have glaring issues that could make someone hate it later on.

Its one thing not to personally like something but to have the unnecessary disrespectful comment towards it; its probably worth checking out if your open-minded enough to hear an alternative perspective.

2020-10-30 16:58:34 +0000 UTCSome time ago It became "popular" for people to parrot the opinions and "hot takes" of certain reactors and it's really annoying. Avatar is one big show to me. Anyone who says they hate korra isnt a true Avatar fan no excuses. The only thing good that came from the generic ass freeloading YouTube comments is that Imon and Abi will be blown away when they see how great this show/universe is. Especially since their expectations were so low to begin with haha. Goodwin TV, Yaboyroshi, and this channel have had the best reactions to this show I've seen hands down.
